Back in November I finally got around to re-doing our hand me down nightstands. We've had them since 2010 so they took me a while, ha! These nightstands belonged to my parents when I was in high school, they became my sisters when I was in college and back in 2010 when she moved to Washington state they became mine.
The makeover was beyond easy. I bought a can of spray paint primer and 2 cans of a light grey. I used painters tape to over the bottom handle and removed the base to the light. The entire process took maybe a few hours. It was a fairly warm fall day so they dried pretty fast.
I have to admit I did have some help from Scott, he used to spend a lot of time repainting plane parts and thus he is pretty good with a can of paint.
For about $8 these tables look brand new and will probably last us for a long time! {The only thing I did when we first inherited them was replace the lamp shades, which were $15 each.}
My parents were in town this past week and they both couldn't believe those were the same nighstands they used over 10 years ago.
Tomorrow{FEB 5th} is voting day for Navy Spouse of the Year, I would love it if you took a minute and cast your vote.

ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm missing it but how can I vote for you? I watched your video and love your idea. Let me know if I can vote (not a military spouse) but would love to support you!
